On My Knees

Each day, I get down on my knees
and thank the LORD, Yahweh.
I'm grateful for the many things
He shares and sends my way.
I praise Him for the days ahead
and those that have now passed.
My heart is humbled by His love —
He's faithful and steadfast.
I'm blessed by God beyond all bounds —
by His amazing grace.
He guards my spirit and my soul
from wrongful things I face.
The LORD Most High has sheltered me
beneath His mighty wing —
deflecting arrows sent my way
and evil that they bring...
My heart rejoices in God's love —
my soul finds peace in Him.
I bow before His holy Throne
with praise and joyful hymns.
Yes...
Yahweh is worthy to be praised
Creator — God above.
All glory, honor, rev-er-ence
I give to Him with love.
"I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness;
I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High."
(Psalm 7:17, NIV)
