"He will yet fill your mouth with laughter
and your lips with shouts of joy."
(Job 8:21, NIV)
Oh, laughter is good medicine
and gives me what I need.
A gen'rous dose I take each day —
an ample dose, indeed.
It boosts heart health — reduces stress —
a gift — a tool from God.
I benefit from His goodness —
it helps my aging "bod."
It also helps me battle fear —
I thrust it from my mind,
then I am free to en-joy life
and leave fear far behind.
At times, I double up laughing
and bend my aging knees.
For seniors, that is challenging
and not done with much ease.
Ohhh . .
My body needs all kinds of help —
in fact, it needs a lot,
and laughter seems to do the trick —
each dosage — every shot.
It's beneficial to my health
and brings me happiness.
I search for things that make me laugh
with joy and gratefulness.
I welcome laughter every day —
it has transformed my life.
I'm ever grateful for God's gift
that's freed me from all strife.
