"Grandchildren are the crowning glory of the aged."
(Proverbs 17:6, NLT)
God granted me sweet grand-ba-bies —
dear gifts that I trea-sure.
The love I have for each of them
can never be mea-sured.
These little ones bring me such joy;
my soul sings out with glee,
and every day I spend with them
I thank the LORD humbly.
It's when my babies hug me tight
and kiss me on the cheek,
my heart fills up with blissful joy —
a feeling quite unique.
Their innocence instills new life
within my inner core.
The beauty of their purity
is what I most adore.
Infectious are their precious laughs
that tickle me within.
They make me giggle day and night,
and keep me smilin'.
Their energy does not run out —
it's main-tained through the day.
It also keeps me young at heart
when I join in their play.
My heart holds many memories —
fond times of sheer delight.
The merriment that we have shared
has made my life quite bright.
