DARK TIMES

This storm won't last forever…
This too, shall pass.
Just know that you are loved,
And this dark time won't last.

We may feel the world is against us,
And feeling very alone.
Family and friends are gone,
We're scared down to the bone.

Around us we may build a wall.
To protect from listening ears.
But all that really does,
Is add to our many fears.

So, maybe it would help us,
If we start to tear down the wall.
Although it may be scary.
It could be the solution to all.

Sometimes we can feel guilty,
And even lots of shame.
But we know down deep,
We are not always to blame.

So, please help us Lord,
To find a way to forgive.
And once again, Father,
We can really begin to live.
