His Precious Blood

blood - more precious than a steeple,
more sacred and alive;
blood - that gives new life and fresh hope,
much deeper than our strive.

scarlet blood shed for me,
given to set me free,
washing away my shame,
forgiven in Christ's name!

blood - of the innocent and pure,
flowed on Calvary's hill;
blood - that declares the Father's love,
His righteousness fulfill.

blood - that tells us of true value,
through the ransom that He paid;
blood - proclaiming hope and freedom,
no need to be dismayed.

scarlet blood shed for me,
given to set me free,
washing away my shame,
forgiven in Christ's name!

His precious blood,
now stains the wood,
on rugged cross;
love understood.
