The Celebration

by Kristine Stanton © 2025

The earth is sleeping 'neath the snow
as lanterns line the street.
The evergreens are trimmed in lights —
a lovely Christmas treat.

A fire burns in every home
as many gather near.
They share the joy that Christmas brings,
and wish each one good cheer.

A celebration's taking place —
while Heav'n and nature sing.
For on this day in Bethlehem,
the world received its King.

Sweet choirs of angels can be heard
praising Christ, our LORD.
Peace on the Earth — good will to all
are blessings they've outpoured.
