The Look of Love

God's love can teach us how to live
Once we all understand.
He wants his love to shine through us
As he has always planned.

God gave us Jesus so that we
Could all return to God,
And learn what love is all about
Because we all are flawed.

The love we were created for
in unconditional,
And cares for the good of us all
To make our lives more full.

True love is humble service to
Our neighbor with a need.
Whether or not we feel inclined,
We still help them succeed.

Forgiveness shows how much we love
Even those who offend.
With calm and quiet self-control
Relationships can mend.

Our patient listening gives love
With kind encouragement
To those people who need support
From those whom God has sent.

True love is more about giving
Than getting in return.
Putting the needs of others first
Is what we need to learn.
