SHELTER

by Laurel Ramsey

When the storm comes, we may want to hide,
We don't want it to cause a downslide.
We don't want to get caught in the rain,
And we don't want to deal with the pain.

What we need is to find a refuge,
So we won't get caught in the deluge.
As we look for a place of protection,
We look for warmth and affection.

I know my Savior is always nearby,
And wants to help when He sees me cry.
He can be my shelter in the storm,
He will keep me dry and warm.

All I have to do is ask, and He'll be here,
He will come to love and to cheer.
He'll be with me, through thick and thin,
With My Lord, I will always win.

When I need shelter, I am under His wing,
And then, I can begin to sing.
Sing of His praises and His Glory,
When I need shelter, this is my story!
