THE JOY OF THE LORD

The joy of the Lord is my strength and power,
We can have this joy each and every hour.
True joy comes only from our Lord above,
Because He fills us with so much love.

Who doesn't want more joy each day?
It seems like it's such a better way.
To be filled with the joy of the Lord,
Will bring us a greater reward.

Others will surely notice our joy,
They will see that we're the real McCoy.
Real joy always comes from the heart,
When it's genuine, it will set us apart.

So, let us be filled with true joy,
Then the enemy, we will destroy.
The enemy wants to pull us down,
Never a grin, always a frown.

Let's put the enemy in his place,
Show him the Lord gives us a new face.
A face filled with love and victory,
I'm so thankful, this is my story!
