Our God in heaven sits on high;
He governs earth, He rules the sky.
The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost,
The One in whom believers boast.
Creator of the universe,
Sustainer of all life diverse,
The source of all reality,
Inhabiting eternity.
Existing now in every place,
And yet transcending time and space,
He knows the stars and gives them names;
His glory still outshines their flames.
He formed the oceans by His will,
And every boulder, rock and hill;
He wrote the code called DNA,
The word all living cells obey.
Unchanging through the passing years,
Sovereign, stilling all our fears,
Supreme, above all earthly power,
Sufficient for each day and hour.
Holy, Holy, is His name;
In judgment He has made His fame,
And yet His grace in Christ appears,
Removes our sins and calms our fears.
He justifies us by His Son,
And grants us victories that He won;
The God who governs earth and sea
Now ours forever by decree.
Believers fall before His throne,
Give praise to Him and Him alone,
Make not this world the thing you love,
But set your hearts on things above.
