"For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world," (Ephesians 6:12, NLT).
There's a fractured light tormenting
broken shadows through the night,
as I listen to the silence
in a dark, immortal site.
There are battles all around me,
each one fighting for my soul,
but the battlefield is hidden
in an obscure, darkened hole.
There are evil forces lurking
in a world I cannot see,
but the LORD has sent His soldiers
to protect and de-fend me.
These soldiers are God's angels,
who are warring day and night.
They are fighting endless battles,
turning darkness into Light.
I am never left defenseless;
the LORD has armored me.
and He's with me on my journey;
He's the One who set me free.
"For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go," (Psalm 91:11, NLT).
