I ONCE WAS LOST

I once was lost, but now am found,
I am now standing on solid ground.
I was wandering far from home…
But today, I have no desire to roam.

The Lord has changed my internal desires,
He has put out those evil fires.
I can say that I am a true believer,
And stay away from the satanic deceiver.

I still may make mistakes and often sin,
But I have been cleansed from deep within.
The Lord has changed my black heart,
And given me a brand-new start.

Jesus has offered me forgiveness,
And helps me with everyday business.
I am so grateful for the change in me,
Without Him, I don't know where I'd be.

Praise the Lord, He loves me so much,
I look forward to His gentle touch.
I'm so grateful I'll be with Him forevermore,
I just can't wait for what's in store!
