Growth from Adversity

David did not sit thinking in his chair
I wonder does God really, really care
But stood to the challenge of lion and bear
And in the fight he found his Lord was there.

So all our trials, hardships are for Him
For in them, it is Christ who draws us in
to show Himself, our hardened hearts to win,
Wrestles with us, to release us from sin.

He lets us not languish in moth and rust,
With adversity He brings us back from dust
So with every endurance we know we must
Lean in closer to His deep love, with trust.
