I want to stay in
The eye of the storm.
Wherein is found
Seven times shalom.
Only your grace
Could bring me in here
In your presence
You hold me so near.
I know when I'm in
Your perfect peace
The world and the flesh
Seem out of reach.
A spinning storm I see
all around.
Where sin and death
And doubt abound.
Swirling debris
Of darkest decay
But in here all
of my fears allay.
Out there destruction
Thinks to gain
But my God is the One
To ever reign.
Here is where stillness
Is stilled and stilled,
Where I am refreshed
once again filled
The place of other-ness
And calm
Soaked and drenched
In heavenly balm.
