Reclaimed

What once was lost amid the turmoil of the earth
We did not see, in younger days and early birth
Or understand that we ourselves had lost our way
And stumbled through the night and could not see the day.

If what is lost, would ever need to be reclaimed
The world may search for such a one, to be acclaimed
But this world's god would only add to all that loss
For empty human efforts, would never hold a Cross.

Christ's loss at Calvary, would be the earth's great gain
That old collapsing world would see a newer reign
The dying Man, a Living, Healing Hope, to free
those captives' chains, for time and for eternity.

The Precious Blood reclaims the universe for God
The Victim is the Shepherd with the iron rod
His rule regains what has been lost; the Sun will rise
And Truth is painted freely on the heavenly skies.
