The mirror tells me of my disabling plight,
It is easy to see that the end is in sight,
In my fight with decay, I know I shall lose,
All is not lost, it's not my body I chose.
It is Who, I chose, to put on the throne,
And where does my heart seek to find its home,
Can the made say to the maker, "I am king?"
Who has ever heard of such a stupid thing!
The ego usurper, is the killer fraud,
The Creator on my throne, He is my God,
He is the One to wear the only true crown,
I welcome His presence, I humbly bow down.
Only He can walk me through the uphill bends,
And lead me, in strength, on, to journey's end,
When into the abyss death He will cast,
The best wine He has saved to the very last-
In hand, my invitation to the wedding feast,
A family banquet that will never cease.
My R.S.V.P. has long been in the post,
Since that day I met the most Royal Host.
He sealed my heart then, with a forgiving kiss,
And wrote my name on His eternal guest list,
At His regal feet, I gratefully fall,
And crown Him Saviour! King! Lord God of all !
The water in the stone jars turned into wine
The water of life made rich in the Vine
The joy, the merriment of abundant life
Filled with the riches of our Lord Jesus,
Christ.
