This Peace ~

I never knew this peace,
that God has imparted
I never knew this calm
keeping my heart guarded.

I truly don't understand,
or know how to explain
why I don't feel grievous
or have unbearable pain.

I could never imagine,
a mind that is not fraught
or how sadness hasn't captured
my each and every thought.

I cannot describe,
this unimaginable peace
or the power of my faith
that has been released.

But, I can tell you this for sure,
it is true what Jesus said . . .
our hearts and our minds
He keeps, in His loving stead!
