Hanging On

Some people hang on,
to people and things . . .
but my soul on the Lord
eternally clings.

Some people hold on,
to issues from their past . . .
but my soul hangs on
to the hope that will last.

Some people are hanging,
on to things they stock . . .
but my soul has a grip
on my Savior, my Rock.

Some people are adhered,
to their worldly stuff . . .
but my soul is stuck
on God . . . being enough.

Some people hang on,
to whatever they please . . .
but my soul is most happy
when it’s down on its knees!

Psalm 1:2
King James Version

"But his delight is in the law of the
Lord; and in his law doth he meditate
day and night.

Matthew 16:25

“For whosoever will save his life
shall lose it: and whosoever will
lose his life for my sake shall find it.”
