Embrace His Cross

by Janette Lueveen © 2008

Though crowds of fists surround me,

And words bite my flesh like thorns.

Though their laughter may sting by back,

I shall endure all scorns.

I embrace His Cross, for its weight is light.

And, when they bring my body down

My spirit will find rest in Christ alone,

His blessings shall be my crown!
