ARE YOU A LOST SHEEP

by Brady C Ervin © 15

Jesus told a parable,
about a sheep that went astray.
The shepherd left 99 others to look,
rather than wring His hands and pray.

He found the lost sheep,
after much seeking.
The shepherd’s reactions,
you should be keeping.

He did not scold or whip,
for what the lost sheep had done.
He put the sheep on His shoulders,
and rejoiced for finding the lost one.

No shepherd would leave 99 sheep,
to search for one that got lost.
He was paid to protect them all.
he had to consider the cost.

This parable is about Jesus,
and how He searched for you.
When He found you, He rejoiced;
and knew His searched was through.

If you are still astray,
Jesus’ search goes on.
He knows where you are,
and He is waiting for you to come home.

He is not looking to punish,
for the sins you are doing.
He loves you and wants to save you,
but He will allow your ruin.

Jesus died for your sin,
He paid the full price.
All you do is come to Him, and repent,
and accept the love of Christ.

Proverbs 27:9
King James Version

"Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart:
so doth the sweetness of a man's friend
by hearty counsel."

King James Version
Isaiah 61:10 He hath covered me with a robe of righteousness
As a bridegroom decks with ornaments
And as a bride adorneth herself with jewels.
