lost and found

by Anthony Paul Curtis © 2008

I could see, but I was blind
what went on inside my mind?
I could hear, but I was deaf
my spirit was down to the lowest clef.

I could feel, but had no feeling
All the time my senses were reeling
I could speak, but had no tongue
all my songs remained unsung.

*******************************

I was blind, but now I see
I have feelings and now I'm free
I was deaf, but now I hear
what was obscure is now quite clear.

The lights are on inside my brain
that which was lost is found again
my belief in life has grown new wings
I've re-found the joy that Jesus brings.
