Morning prayer

Dear Lord, when I awake, I am still with Thee;
Thank You for the precious life that You've given me.
Father, this is my prayer to You today:
Please search my heart, and lead me forth in Your way.
Each and every morning, let me hear Your lovingkindness.
Your Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
I trust in You, and I lift up my soul unto You -
Quicken me, God, Your perfect will teach me to do.
Keep the door of my lips, please watch over my mouth;
Because if You don't, Lord, then things go South.
Incline not my heart to foolishness, or any wicked thing;
Instead, let it always Your high praises sing.
Please hear my prayer, Lord, and stay close to me;
Forever and ever will I bless and love and honor Thee!
