Origins

by Albert Watson

In the beginning,
there was a 'Big Bang,'
Then evolved
An orang-outang.
The sun shone on
Some muddy goo
Hey-presto
Now me and you.
One crawled out the sea,
Started breathing air,
Now he sits in a
Canvas deck chair.
Another jumped from tree's
And smashed his face
But then grew wings
Became an air ace.
I say oh me, I say oh my,
What was the use
Of an evolving eye?
Men connecting bones,
Just make me think
They still haven't found,
One missing link
If you disagree
With this harangue,
Tell me what was there,
To make that 'Big Bang'.
