This Light of Mine

In this world,
where darkness shines
it's so hard to see
this wee light of mine.

It seems so dim,
when it is compared
to all the evilness
that is out there.

In this world,
where darkness shines
it seems to engulf
this teeny light of mine.

It appears so faint,
against sin's glimmer
next to the wickedness
it looks like a flicker.

But, for You Lord,
I'll continue to shine
for nothing can douse
this light of mine!
