In coming to the cross, I came as a foreigner, like Ruth,
Even as a child, my heart's yearning was to know the truth.
I didn't care what it cost me, in friends and popularity,
Because, in truth, I was a no one, I had no celebrity.
I had nothing to offer God, just my burdens and my past,
But He said my character wasn't set, the die was not cast.
Yeshua became my redeemer, as Boaz was for Ruth,
My life was turned right around, as I came to know God, in truth.
Instead of being lonely, I'm surrounded by lovely friends,
Growing in the fruits of the Spirit, the journey never ends.
Instead of being filled with worry, I pray to God above,
How He works through my life to others, just shows me His great love.
