MY Life

by Alyssa Panck © 2008

I cannot make my own decision
But still I know what I would choose
My life was cut short by a knife incision
And I had everything to loose

My eyes are closed; still I had a vision
Of my mother looking down at me
My life was cut short by a knife incision
My branch broke off the family tree

I am unable to voice my opinion
So you assume that I am all right with this
My life was cut short by a knife incision
You get what you want and seal it with a kiss

No one bothered to ask for my permission
How could you possibly be more selfish
My life was cut short by a knife incision
It isn't fair because I'm the one helpless

It's like I'm stuck in a prison
Because my future they have made
My life was cut short by a knife incision
And it started before Roe vs. Wade

You did not want me so now I am risen
I will spend forever with Jesus
My life was cut short by a knife incision
Because you only saw me as a fetus
