Routine to Revelation

Piercing eyelids open to the hazy
Onset of the morning around my view
The mind of mine pleads to sleep on lazy
While the disciplined side awaits the clock's cue

After dreams and reality transcend
The will of my body pushes onward
To another day of holding life's mend
Leaving a mark on another's foreword

By means of punching my body into
The clockwork of the communal machine
I ride in four wheels to rendezvous
And arrive at the everyday scene

Shining dew means life
And content speaks peace
Thanks to our Father in heaven
Eternal life will not cease
