Light

by Paul Purday
https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/PaulPurdayPaintings?ref=seller-platform-mcnav

From out of darkness shafts of light
Like arrows of pure joy
Will stamp each surface with their dance
And darkened thoughts destroy.

So light must have its opposite
When faced the other way
With only shadows in the path
And shadows have their say.

For these will form a silhouette
A bleaker image show
What would be seen, but in reverse
A darker way to know.

Too many follow shadows now
Particularly their own
With backs turned from the shining Sun
And wandering alone.

Face Him! Drink in His glorious rays
Gods holy, holy One
The light of Yeshua abounds
God's ever-shining Son.

Now see His light along your path
And He will hold your hand
With rays of Majesty will lead
You to His glowing Land.
