Once upon a time
My future was unclear
I rebelled against God
And I was so sincere

I thought I knew who God was
But my sin separated us
And I didn't know His love

I was heading for destruction
My heart was growing hard
Until that great introduction

Once upon a time
I was best friends with Satan
Until I saw the Lord
Now my path has been straightened

Depression and loneliness described me
Until God intervened
Now hope and faith in Him define me

My happy ending came near
