Lonely Robot Child

by alyssa rosas © 2009

Lonely robot child walking by
Thousands of clouds in the sky
Wondering why no one ever cared
Walking and walking always feeling scared
Years pass and on he went
That robot child never feeling spent
Everyone cast him a blind eye
This child made of metal scraps and dye
Gorgeous white clouds turn to black
Monstrous raindrops pelted his back
Until an angel witnessed this saddening scene
Concentrated hard with a lok almost serene
The robot child was taken by an uplifting rush
Of winds blowing in the tempest's hush
And before he knew it he was soft and pink
"I'm a human," was all that he could think
Then he looked far up above
And no longer knew the feeling of being unloved
Even though everyone thought it was an act on whim
The angel spent years of love watching over him
