Sail Boat

by Kathleen Higham

I am like a tiny sail boat
Bouncing upon a wave
But God comes to tender me
His hands reach out to save.

The current of life will tug
Sometimes I just float away
Then gently, oh so gently
God pulls me back each day.

Dear one, draw near, He says
As He whispers, "I am here"
Tendered to your loving heart
There is nothing you should fear.

Unaware of all the dangers
And troubled waters that be
A weary soul cries out to Him
He calms the turbulent sea.

I am like a tiny sail boat
Sailing peacefully and free
My God sails right beside me
For He has tendered me.
