God Made The Rose

by Margaret Cagle

How did God make a beautiful rose?
To put it simply, nobody knows.
He gave it a fragrance of Heavenly dew
And added some Heavenly beauty too.

I love to hold a fresh cut rose,
As into my senses its fragrance flows.
Each petal reminds me of beauty and love.
Its beauty comes to us from God above.

Give a rose to the one you love so dear,
That one you hold in your heart so near.
A rose can say, "Darling, I love you."
Yes, a rose can say, "My love is true."

May roses grow in your garden of life
And take away your troubles and strife.
Roses remind me of the love of God.
Receive His love as you travel this sod.
