On a darken dingy backdrop,
my sins began to untwine.
Like diamonds on black velvet,
His grace began to shine.
How vile they must have seemed,
to His love, when compared.
With the sparkle of His mercy,
my sins, He cut and pared.
Cracking through the surface,
He removed the shame of sin.
Then inside He saw the beauty,
of a new heart, where He lives in.
The backdrop now is brighter,
my sins are as white as snow.
For He washed away my guilt,
Like diamonds, my heart glows.
