Witness With Love

by Robert Hedrick

Christian, listen to the silent voice of a lost one's plea,
As it says, please don't attempt to scare hell out of me.
My life has enough fear in it and I don't need anymore,
Then please remember this if you ever knock on my door.

I know a little about your Jesus, I'd like to learn more,
For no one's taken the time to tell me about Him before.
I've heard He loves me, please tell me more about this,
Because genuine love is something that I sincerely miss.

From what I've heard about hell, it's not a place for me,
If you can tell me how to avoid it, please do so, lovingly.
From all I've heard about heaven, it has to be a great place,
And that it is available to every member of the human race.

When witnessing to the lost, we'll need a love filled heart,
So as not to scare them away, just as we have begun to start.
Tell them about our Savior, of the victory He will provide,
That He'll open heaven's gates and take them safely inside.
