Leaving My Footprint

Lord, may the footprint,
on this world I leave
be the steps of one
who in You believed.

May it be Your imprint,
long after I am gone
that keeps others
to You being drawn.

Lord, may the footprint,
be a lasting imprint
of one who lived a life
full of the Holy Spirit.

May Your impression,
be left in all I say
let the words I write
continue hearts to sway.

May the footprint I leave,
be not just a carbon one . . .
let it be the faithful steps
of one who followed Your Son!
