Life Rocks

by Earl W Haskins © 2015

I’m dancing with Life and I’m having some fun
When cancer decides to cut in
Life gives up the floor but we're really not done
We're soul mates determined to win

But cancer's aggressive, I really did tire
It spun me with hair falling out
It's dancing with me with its feet set afire
This cancer was trouble no doubt

Then came a commotion towards the front door
We all turned to see what was there
This man waltzes in and took over the floor
Took cancer and gave it a dare

"You'll pay if you stay, you've no power with Me"
So cancer slipped out like a mouse
But peeked over its shoulder, astonished to see
Me and Jesus rockin the house
