J.O.Y.

by Deborah Smith Plemmons

Jesus, I should think of first;
He promises me I'll never again thirst.
My salvation is in Him alone;
My Lord, my Savior, sits at the throne.

Others should be thought of next;
If I help others, God says I'll be blessed.
God commands me to love my neighbors,
By witnessing and showing them favors.

You, that's me, should be last;
Last in line--future, present, and past.
God tells me to give myself to Him each day,
To be used of Him in a special way.

JOY you'll find each day you live,
If you love Jesus and others forgive.
Jesus should be the first in line,
Others, then You--What a life sublime!
