Never have I been so sure,
the work of God that sealed our cure.
We’re stained by sin that brings our death.
the sin that takes our final breath.
He looked and saw and was amazed,
That no one made it through life’s maze.
So He himself did make a way
and cleared for us a path that day.
He came to earth, the King as man.
Born as babe, His death His plan.
He could walk the maze for us
Through death and back and carry us thus.
He bore our sins, the weight He could.
His love for us ensured He would.
He broke the power of death that day,
That crushing weight to our dismay!
He rose from death that could not hold,
And bought us back from whence we’re sold.
What strength He had to do that work!
While Satan thought he’d won, that jerk.
The Son gives love and life anew!
And pours on us His treasure, it’s true!
So never has life been so secure,
It’s covered by one eternally pure!
Isaiah 63:5
I looked, but there was no one to help;
I was appalled, but there was no one to uphold;
so my own arm brought salvation…
