I Once Was Blind But Now I See

by Billy Creighton © 2020

I once was blind but now I see
The wondrous creation which needs no plea
How the sun alone gives testimony
To the God of creation and His glory

I once was blind but now I see
His handy work displayed in all its beauty
The skies proclaiming that we gaze in awe
At the heavens declaring the glory of God

I once was blind but now I see
As I cast my eyes upon the mountain and the seas
To the rivers and the valleys and the flower and the tree
How mighty, how majestic, how awesome is He

I once was blind but now I see
How fearfully and wonderfully made are we
Knit together in my mother's womb
Designed to be me and me alone

I once was blind but now I see
How God by His grace and His mercy
Has made a way, from my sins to flee
When His Son took God's wrath that I might go free

I once was blind but now I see
I'm saved for all eternity
So thank you, dear Lord, for giving to me
Thy great salvation so rich and so free

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness
of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Ephesians 6:12
