Oh man, do you desire that state of bliss
With all of this life's burdens far behind,
With troubles out of sight and out of mind
With personal pleasures greater than all this?
For that is what man seems to make his goal.
He strives for that beyond the journey here;
There live in self-indulgence with no fear
That such might damage his eternal soul.
Some treat life as a living balance sheet,
That at the end good deeds shall far outweigh
The sins and indiscretions of the day,
And therefore gain eternal bliss complete.
But who is it who has the final say?
Who is the one who gives the “Yea”, or “Nay”?
