A Walk During The Pandemic

by Tracy A Andrews © 2020

The river meandering along,
The birds around sing me a song.
Ducks quacking, cicadas clicking,
No laughter, no talking, no crying.

Just eerily quiet of human sound.
It's unnatural... No one's around.
I appreciate God's Creation,
Out here where there's no distraction.

I pray, seek God, He's all around,
Even within... Though I don't hear a sound.
But I know He's here, with me, right now,
And as I sit here, my head I bow.

Speaking with Him in my mind... My heart,
Thinking, "My God! How great Thou art."
