A Different Spirit

Caleb had a different Spirit,
He gave His life to God, and trusted Him with it.
God wants us to have a Spirit the same,
To passionately follow Him and trust in His name.

We, too, should take God at His Word,
With fervent prayer and fasting, God's Spirit is stirred.
And against His might, no strength can prevail,
As we call on God's name and advance through the veil.

He wants our respect and our love,
As we obey His Word, answers come from above.
As we live for Him and show forth His grace,
We'll be successful at running and winning the race.

It's all about choices we make,
Will we decide for our own, or for the Lord's sake?
Will we be selfish or will we stay true?
If we keep our eyes on the Lord, He'll bring us through.
