His Righteousness

Not one moment spent with God is wasted,
I’m His and He lives in eternity.
Of His goodness I have seen and tasted,
Because of Jesus’ cross, to me it’s free.
It’s His obedience that holds my thoughts,
It’s His mind in me that brings discernment.
It is the Father’s guidance I have sought
To monitor my every moment spent.
Christ judges me to be His righteousness,
Which doesn’t mean I never make mistakes,
But God’s word will do what Jesus pleases,
And His covenant the LORD never breaks.
Christ, God’s Son rose from the dead on the third day,
As for me I know He is the only way.
