I'm Thankful For God's Gift

At Christmas, many give gifts,
And many receive gifts too.
You say "thank you" for the gift.
Others say "thank you" to you.

God gave us the greatest gift
When He sent His only Son
To die on the cross for our sins
To be our Savior, the only One.

I'm thankful for God's great gift.
Though Jesus had a lowly birth,
He became our sin sacrifice
When He came to dwell on earth.

We think of His birth at Christmas.
He was born to die for you and me,
But thank the Lord He rose again,
For over death He had victory.

Yes, I thank God for His great gift.
He sent His Son from Heaven above,
Who willingly died for our sins
In His mercy and in His great love.
