Choose Life and Blessing

Jesus spoke in parables of wisdom
To bring to naught the wisdom of the wise.
Fruit in Eden God gave man with freedom,
Yet along with Eve, Adam brought demise,
Choosing to eat from a tree forbidden.
God didn’t turn His back on them, but sin
Given place leads to a state backslidden.
Back to the garden they could not go in.
Every moment we choose life and blessing
The Spirit of grace we’re not frustrating.
When we take the way of death and cursing,
He will not leave, but He’ll be chastening.
There are consequences, but we’re still His own,
His voice corrects with a compassionate tone.
