HOME SWEET HOME

by Olusesan Williams © 2021

Sweep pass by in a foreign in a foreign land
Strange as sea fish to the land
Shaking inconsistent to the drumming band
Alien I am to this new brand.

Suffer so long as a rain beaten squirrel
Darken is my mind as a clouded sky
Hopeless for life among the kindred
Wondered about, dry of thirst like a spy.

Then a saviour I met along
Showered me with kindness and love
See helpless I was, direct me to where I belong
Up the mountain I climb, soaring high like a dove.

Hallelujah I am saved, heaven at last
This is where I belong, hopeful I become
Love, joy, happiness, abundance in there in Christ
Home Sweet Home, happy I am forever.
