Unto God be the glory

Lord Jesus, thank You for the gift that You have given me;
For letting me express my love for God through poetry.
I'm not much of a speaker, but You, God, blessed my pen -
Writing Your poems makes me happy, it's what makes me 'zen'.
You are my inspiration, there's still so much I need to tell…
Even so, dear Lord, one thing I know very well:
Unto You belongs all the glory, my God, not unto little me;
I am just Your instrument, and that's how things should be!
You are the Master Poet, in the beginning was the Word -
Who set me apart for His purpose, long before my birth.
Graciously You give me words, without effort on my part;
And I want to honor You, from the bottom of my heart.
Dear Lord Jesus, I love You so much, You know that it's true -
As long as I shall live, may I write Your poems for You?
