Refiner's Fire

Are you finding life hard?
A bit of a struggle?
Everything's getting a bit hard to juggle?
You feel you're in a fire,
And it's turned up high,
And all that's going through your mind is, "Why God? Why?"

The Bible has the answer,
And it's in plain sight,
God wants you to grow in Him, in spiritual might.
He's refining your faith,
He's turning up the heat,
He's seeing who you'll turn to when you're feeling beat.

Yahweh yearns for your love,
He wants you to need Him,
So He'll turn up the heat and wait for you to seek Him.
If you want to please Him,
And make it through the test,
Learning to do God's will above your own is best.

God's purging out sin,
Producing character,
Helping you run the race and become the victor!
He's causing self to die,
So He can live through you,
God does it so His purpose for your life comes true.

So, see it as a challenge,
That God's putting you through,
Prove to Him that through it all, your heart remains true.
One day, we'll get through life,
And our journey will end,
I pray, with Yahweh, our eternity, we'll spend.
