WOE TO EARTH

In ancient times, God's prophets foretold
Shocking events that will unfold!

Mountains aflame causing the earth to quake
No pity for the poor-rich men seize and take

Power, lust, and greed will fill the land
While God's own are reluctant to stand

In fearsome waves, the seas will surge
God's laws, foolish men continue to purge

Timbers splintered by the wind’s gust
No man's word will be worthy of trust

Famines and plagues, spread misery abroad
The knowledge of men replete with fraud

Prayers and Songs of Praise will cease
Yet to kings, frighten men beg for peace

Nations will merge for one final stand
Bowing to one, who rules with an evil hand

Alas, hardened hearts will remain unbent,
Refusing to see, or to yield and repent

So, when these troubles fill the land
Rejoice! Your redemption is at hand!

We stand assured, our loving Savior, so unjustly tried.
WOE TO EARTH! Christ will not twice be denied!
