Anthem To Our God

by Edward Nickerson

I raise an anthem to our God who spoke nature into place.
I thank Him for His amazing love as I stand within His grace.
He gave His son to die for me, I will see Him face to face,
And tell others how he died for me, showing God's amazing grace.

Child of the King I now can sing how in death he loved me so.
To a cross He carried all my sin, to Calvary he would go.
While no other cared, my sin He bore, for my freedom, not to show.
And He walks and talks with me each day while in life I onward go.

May we raise our voices to our God, how He came to set us free.
How He gave His life that we could live, paying all for you and me.
Eternal life may be yours tonight, how more simple could life be,
Heaven's gates are open wide tonight listening for the sinners plea.
